FAQs
How are temperature capabilities organized?
The industry organizes temperature capabilities into three categories:
Standard Temperature Range: -50 °C to +150 °C
High-Temperature Range: +150 °C to +175 °C
Extreme Temperature Range: +175 °C to +200 °C and Above.
What are your inspection and test capabilities?
We conduct extensive tests and inspections to ensure that the PCB assemblies conform to specifications and can withstand high-temperature conditions. We perform:
Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
X-Ray Inspection
Manual Inspection
Temperature Testing
In-Circuit Testing
Flying Probe Testing
What are Active and Passive Components in PCB Assembly?
Capacitors, resistors, transformers, chokes, and inductors are the passive components. Transistors, ICs, LEDs, and diodes are active components.
How do you mark component symbols in DFM?
DFM analysis always has a marking on the components which is very important for diodes, ‘+’ indicates the anode and ‘-‘ indicates the cathode. For polarized capacitor, ‘+’ indicates the anode. Also, a red dot indicates the pin 1 marking on an IC.
How do you identify the polarity of a component on a PCB?
Basically, the silk layer defines the polarity of a component. If there is no silk layer it is difficult to judge how the components should be placed on the PCB. Then we will confirm with you via email, which may cause production delays. Therefore, we recommend you add silkscreen layer to your PCB so that we can confirm them easily and thereby avoid any production delay.
When there is a polarity mark in the silkscreen layer, but it is inconsistent with your CPL file, by default, we will make the placement according to the silkscreen layer. Therefore, please make sure of the correctness of your file to avoid misunderstanding.
For Diodes placement, we recommend that customers design the silkscreen accordingly to indicate polarity. There are two types of silkscreen indications. One is adding a triangle that points to the cathode, the other is to add a band to the cathode side.
